    Hi

Thinking of buying either the Panasonic DMR-E85 with a 80gb HDD and great editing function,or the JVC DR-MH30 with a 160gb HDD but a average editing function.
The reason i would like the machine is for recording movies/series from t.v,and easily removing the guff..(adverts and so on). Both machines can be bought for the same price.
Any help would be appreciated please..(i'm going mad...lol)

    Thanx

I don't know the JVC or Sony. The Tosh XS32 sucks. The Panny E85 is a delight to use, and the shops are falling over themselves to get rid of them.

Before buying a DVD recorder may I suggest you read the 'What DVD Recorder?' link in my signature.

As the UK variant of the 910 isn't available yet I wouldn't recommend that personally. But a European import will work...

You mean New Zealand get them before the UK?! Cool! I've had mine for over 1 month now. Next shipment of 3000 units is due in New Zealand in 5 days - they are ALL presold apparently.

I bought my HX910 in New Zealand for NZ$1375 - which is around 540 quid or US$950

The UK is getting a dedicated 'D' variant with a DVB-T tuner.
