I am confused about how to connect my video equipment to my receiver. I have a digital box and a PS2. The best connection for both is RGB scart but obviously the receiver only has S-Video connections.

Isnt using S-Video an inferior connection in terms of quality? How do I get the best quality connection and am better off just connection the video equipment directly to the TV instead of through the receiver?

There is no reason to connect your receiver to your video equipment unless you need to use the receiver's OSD. I have my Pioneer 2011 hooked up to my tv via svideo to scart just for using the OSD for MCACC setup.
The most direct route for wiring one piece of equipment to another will usually give you the best quality.
