I have a laptop with an S-Video out, and would like to play music from that through my Denon UD-M50 hi-fi which has a set of analog audio inputs (as well as an optical digital one). Is this possible? If so, what sort of adapter would I need?

The S-video seems to be the only way of getting a stereo signal out of the laptop.

    ANY advice much appreciated!

S-video won't transmit sound at all as it's a video only connector. Are you sure that it's an s-video socket ?
