I have a Philips 32PT5441/37 TV (CRT). It has Component-video and S-video inputs.

I also have a Geforce 6800 video card with a DVI output.

I want to send the video out from the DVI on my computer, to the CVI on my TV... So basically I want to use my TV as a big computer monitor.

I've read about needing a transcoder to convert the signal, but I've also read that you don't need a transcoder with the 6800 video card.

If it's possible I need a 15-20' cable to send audio and video from my computer to my TV.

    Any help would be appreciated...

Take a look at the S-Video port on your 6800. If it has more than the standard 4 pins, it is a multi connector that also does component output. If so, and you don't have a dongle, try this. Can't guarantee this would work, but as far as I know it's a standard dongle.

You then simply connect a component cable from the dongle to your TV

    Hello mtry1

Keep in mind its going to look pretty horrible and all but unusable for any 'productivity' software when Outputing a Video signal from the PC - viewing Video from the PC will be fine whilst surfing the web will give you sore eyes.

    Best regards
