Help connecting 5.1.4 on Yamaha RXA-2070

Hello,

I'm just setting up a Yamaha RXA-2070 for 5.1.4 and I'm confused about which channels to connect which speakers to.

I have Kef R300 fronts with R50's on top for front Atmos, R200 centre, R100's for rears and Kef ceiling speakers for rear Atmos. And a REL sub.

The fronts, centre, rear and sub are obvious I think but not sure about about the Atmos.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

As many, many will testify to, i’m definitely not the most technically gifted on these forums, but i’ll give it a go :)

My own setup is a 7.1.2 arrangement on my 2050 but when looking at the rear panel on your 2070 I think it should be the equivalent of this:

The F. and R. Presence terminals corresponding to your four upfiring Atmos speakers.

Once connected, the Auto setup on the 2070 should then detect your speaker arrangement and set levels accordingly, although if i’m honest I think you’ll still end up changing the crossovers and levels once the system is up and running for a while.

Thanks guys - really quick help! That all makes sense, can't wait to get it fired up after so long without my 5.1 system. Very interested to see the difference Atmos will make.
Cheers
Dave
