HELP- computer wont upgrade

    just bought an upgrade key from best buy to upgrade my windows starter netbook to windows 7 home premium, but its not having any of it, then when i go to the support page on microsoft it doesn,t recognize the code and wants to charge me £46 for a i day response :confused:

    ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS

    Have you tried this...

    Click the Start button (bottom left), type anytime upgrade and then click on Windows Anytime Upgrade in the list of results.

    yep, done that, then it goes onto "verifying code" then starts to upgrade, then a few minutes later it tells me the upgrade has failed.:confused:

    Backup all your data, do a full Windows recovery and then try to upgrade again.

    Phone Microsoft's activation hotline. I recently had to re-activate my Home Server twice as the update failed on-line. Both times I did it via the automated on-line service.
