    Hi!

I'm looking for a DVD player that fulfills my requirements:

    -Multi Region
-NTSC playback on PAL 50 AND PAL 60
-PAL playback on PAL 50 AND PAL 60
-Play DVD-R (Recorded from PC's etc)
    -Play VCD's
    -Play VCD's on CD-R's
    -Avaliable in the UK

(No built in amp/5.1 encoder etc needed)

    Any ideas guys?

    Thanks

Multiregion compability depends on the company carrying out the modification, basically any player can be made codefree, so that's not a problem.

To output 575/60 ("NTSC") in PAL50 and PAL60 might be a problem, there are not many players which actually convert to PAL50, only Samsung and Hitachi come to mind. Any others? Don't know ...

In case you didn't know, but RGB via Scart usually helps around that problem - given that the TV has a RGB compatible input and the player can output RGB of course.

I can therefore not name any particular model but check the techtronics webpage at www.techtronics.com for a good overview of multiregion players.

    Thanks for the reply Reiner,

I'm wanting to use the DVD player with a Panasonic MX50 Vision Mixer, that only takes PAL 50 through composite or S-Video inputs.

I'm also keen to play back my own recorded DVD's and VCD's made from my PC recorded on to CD-R's and DVD-R's.

Any one else have any recommendations?

    Thanks again!
