Help choosing HP Desktop, i5 or Ryzen 5 with SSD

My nine-year-old i3 desktop is ready for renewal.

The primary function of the new PC will be MS Office activities and general internet activities, the secondary function will be light photo manipulation.

I found these two computers at the right price for me, both are £449 but which one would you choose?

The i5 or the Ryzen 5 with SSD?

HP M01-F1002na Desktop PC - Intel® Core™ i5, 1 TB HDD, Black

HP M01-F0027na Desktop PC - AMD Ryzen 5, 1 TB HDD & 256 GB SSD, Black

Any help or advice greatly appreciated,

Pete.

Thanks for the advice EW, I didn't mean to add processing to the list and have removed it now.
Could you give me the reason for your choice, in layman's terms, please?

It's a much larger difference between a hard drive and an SSD than between one CPU and a slightly faster model. The 3400G also has a more capable GPU which doesn't hurt either.
