Hi all, apologies i have been out of the AV world for quiet some years now so basic knowledge seems to be fading ha.
So I bought myself a pair of monitor audio BX2 speakers used, (i heard them fully working before handing cash over) so I know speakers definitely work.
i just bought a Denon PMA-520AE amp to power these.
I've definitely plugged speakers in correctly at speakers and amp but i am using a 3.5mm Jack-to Phono (twin rca) cable to connect to my PC but I'm getting very low sound/distortion. Something isn't right.
i connected the 3.5mm jack on the motherboards Green sound output as you would, tried the phono cables in every socket on back of amp: REC, CD, TUNER, PHONO, NETWORK, AUX tried them all getting the same very low sound distortion.
the motherboard is a Gigabyte Z370 aorus K3.
In the amps manual for "audio cables" it doesn't mention 3.5mm jack to phono, only states to use twin phono but then I have nowhere to plug the phono into PC?
Any help getting me started up would be greatly appreciated, cheers
