Help can someone tell me if this camera is good or not

Thanks for looking at my post

A buddy of mine is currently in China so I asked him to look out for cheap cameras capable of shooting a low budget movie that has the option to plug in an external microphone and he just came back to me with one. Can anybody tell me by the following specs if they think it will be any good. He just sent me the pictures so I will try and post the pictures on the post.

Also sorry about the poor spelling and grammar in the spec. My buddy just copied and pasted the info and sent it across.
 
It looks OK - You won't have any warranty of course, and it may be 60 hertz but it is dual format.

Your friend would have to smuggle it in too.

It is a gamble.
 
Isn't this likely to be one of those "parallel manufacture" where an established brand appears on the chinese home market that won't stand the full Mfr price?

That being the case, it might be an idea to compare the thumbnails with popular cameras . . . and the clue may be the Battery Pt. No.
It's pretty cheap, but we don't know the Lens quality - it may not be Top-notch.
The big snag is getting any repair done. At a low price it might be a good buy, but then cheap camcorders aren't much more, here in the uK ( Try Argos/Comet/Dixons) and you get a full English Manual (or .PDF) - - - and something like a G'tee.

Agree with Bob++ - - - It's a gamble and I'd add: "Risky".
