I've been asked to find a couple of LCD's for a local club so naturally I thought I'd seek some advice and recommendations from the helpful folk on here.

    Budget is around £1600
    Looking for 1 around 50" and 1 around 37"-42"
They'll be used mostly for watching sports - at the moment it's just SD tv and dvd's but there is a possibility of sky HD being installed at somepoint.

Here's a few I've been looking at so far:
    37" Samsung R87
    40" Samsung R87
    47" Philips PFL5522D
    37" Toshiba WLT68

Having trouble finding any 50" ones that would fit the budget and allow for a 37" to also be bought.

Is there any places that are likely to give any sort of discount or delivery discounts if they buy more than one LCD from them?

Please recommend some LCD's that should be considered and offer any advice or suggestions that you think could be helpful.

    thanks

Hopefully someone will be able to offer some thoughts on this:

Have worked out for around the budget they could get
    1x 47" phillips 47PFL5522D
    1x 42" Toshiba 42X3030D

    or
    2x 42" Toshiba 42X3030D's

    or
    2x 40" Samsung M87's

Which would you recommend going for and why?
Or any others you'd suggest looking at?
    thanks

    :lease:

    Hi,

    How about;Samsung Ps50q97. £748 at XOMY.Com (this is a Plasma however )

Samsung Le40M87. £775 at RGB Direct.

Which leaves a bit for extras! I believe its free delivery from both, but dont hold me to that.Home Cinema Choice have reviewed both sets and given them both 4 stars.

I own the M87 and can assure you that, after a bit of a troubled start, the set is now very good indeed.

IMHO if your club is going to watch lots of sport you need to look at plasma only, considering your budget look at the samsung ps42q96,97 and the ps50q96,97 can get these for good prices now.
