    Hi,

I wonder if anyone can advise. Over the last few weeks we have started to get background noise whilst watching Sky. It appears to be the audio from another channel and whilst although low volume , is very noticable.

I would imagine that it could be due to a number of hardware problems, but could it be down to SKY?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Damian

It's definitely not a Sky problem...

Broadcasters rarely transmit a fault for more than a couple of hours at a time...

It's a local problem with your equipment I'm afraid...

Is it a terrestrial channel that's breaking through? If so it may be breakthrough from the TV or VCR tuner due to damaged shielding in the SCART cables, or a developing fault within the TV earthing. I can't imagine that the Sky box is decoding two channels at once!

Try switching any VCR off, and tuning the TV to a blanck channel before switching to Sky, to see if that cures it.
