[Help] Anyone got a Sony TRV110e?

    hi,

    has anyone here got a Sony TRV110e Digital8 Camcorder?

    ive not a clue about DV editing, but i can tell you what ive got:

    the camcorder,
    a PC capable of running/ripping and editing
    a compatable iLink-firewire cable,
    a firewire card..

    now im looking for some software and techniques :)

    Apparently a good application for beginners is Videowave. You usually get a copy thrown in when you purchase some firewaire cards.

    What OS are you running on the PC? I've just gone through the experience of connecting a sony digital 8 camcorder to a Win98SE machine.

    I was ready to reformat and install XP until I got the thing working!

    HELLO IF I WERE YOU YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF GETTING A COPY OF ADOBE PREMERE IT TAKES LONGER TIME TO LEARN BUT IS MUCH BETTER DONT WAST YOUR TIME ON A CRAP PIECE OF SOFTWARE LIKE VIDEO WAVE IF YOU WANT TO DO QUALITY WORK ADOBE PREMERE OR IF YOU CAN STREACH TO IT GO FOR BROADCAST QUALITY AVID EXPRESS ADOBE COSTS £500 AND AVID £2000 OR GO ON EBAY AND GET A COPY FOR £50 HOPE THIS HELPS AND IF YOU CAN HELP ME I HAVE A D8 DCR-TRV620E IM TRYING TO GET IT TO WORK ON MY LAPTOP THEROUGH FIRE WIRE 4 PIN TO 4 PIN CABLE BUT WINDOWS XP WANT RECONISE MY CAMERA ITS AS IF IT ISENT CONNECTED AT ALL?
