    Hi all,
I haven't posted on here for a long time. I have had a look and couldn't find what I was looking for but I apologise if this has already been discussed as I'm sure it has.

I have Sky Q, a new LG55 OLED TV and waiting for a new TV stand. I am thinking of going for the Soundbox but wanted to know what peoples opinion was on where I am planning to put it. I have attached a pic of the stand I am getting and highlighted where I plan to put the box.

Do you think this will be a sensible place to put it and not hinder it's performance to much?

Thank you in advance for your help and advice

You need space either side for sideways firing drivers - about 6” each side so it may not be at its optimum there.

The unit is 120cm long so quite big, hopefully there might be at least 6 inch either side. I will measure and have a look. Thank you for your reply though. When you say not at it's optimum, would you think it would sound bad or just not as good as it could?

Just not as good as it could. If it’s very snug it would most likely sound terrible- but it looks like a big section so hopefully will work out for you.

Thank you for your reply :) I'll wait until I get the stand and have a look with my tape measure :)

    Update.

he proposed size of the space the soundbox could go in is: 24.5cmH x 47cmW.

Do we think that is to small for it to work well enough?

I reckon that’s too snug - the sound will reverberate off the sides and back. Most likely smothering the next wave. It’ll be muddled, at best.

I'm going to wait until the TV unit has been delivered and set up and have a look. I may look at other alternatives but no idea where to start on what soundbar options are out there lol
