First of all I am new on the board so go easy and I was recommended to the board by a company that I bought an mp3 off.

The reason for being here :

I tryto download wma files to the mp3 and the pc locks up after the first one.
My pc is old so I tried it at work and it worked fine. Whats the best way without buying a new pc to download without locking up.

Like I say pc is old and runs on win98.

You bought a mp3 player right?

First of not all "mp3 players" have wma playback. Some do, some don't.
I'll try and help, but I need to know make and model of the player you have and which software you are using to transfer files...
No software? Just drag and drop files to Removable Mass Storage Device in Windows Explorer?
Win 98? Hmmm, that could be a issue.

    Let me know.

Sorry you're having trouble with that. Sucks one getting something from the store all stoked and not being able to use it.
I'm sure there are other people willing to help in here, but more details are needed...

    Cheers!
