Folks - fairly new to this forum but if there is a thread with specific advise to the question(s) I'm about to ask feel free to point me in the right direction.
Been thinking about a Christmas present ( yeah I know its only October
) for my parents and thought a recordable DVD player would be a good idea.
Firstly I'm looking to spend around £200/250 and I need it to be a relatively user friendly player that is quite simple to record programmes - what models would you recommend?
Also the disc format it writes to - DVD + or - RW, what format should I be looking at?
Basically they use the VHS recorder all the time - so I figured a DVD recorder that can write onto rewritable discs would be best.
Are most players relatively simple to set up? Is it easy enough to record off a digital box (telewest cable)?
And finally is it worth considering a DVD recorder with built in hard drive?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
