I have a Abit Fata1ty F-190HD which has been working perfectly up until a couple of hours ago. I've got a new HD-DVD/Bluray combo drive and noticed the Bios Update that improves support for these drives with the board. I decided to flash the bios with the newest version (m612a18) with the latest version of flash menu (as per the Abit Website) and midway through the flash the screen went blank and the PC shut itself down and now will not boot

I’ve tried clearing CMOS and now all I get is a black screen using both onboard HDMI and onboard VGA for video...fans spin-up though!

HELP!

HTPC Spec:

Intel C2D E6420 - Stock
Abit Fata1ty F-190HD
2 GB (2x1GB) GeIL Ultra DDR2 RAM Kit (PC6400) - Stock
250GB Samsung Spinpoint
Vista Home Premium (32bit x86)

I think you may have accidently erased the bios, hense a blank screen (meaning nothing to load).

Can you still access the BIOS, when you first start the computer? Usually you press Del or something to access the Bios.
If you can, then do the following:

create a bootable usb disk
put award flash tool in there
put the latest bios in there (or original bios)
boot from pen
flash
