Shame it feels so empty :(

Wouldn't it be good if when you opened it there was a bust of Pinhead :D
Infact anyone know if one is available that would fit inside ?

    Cheers

The lament box is a dire consequence of companys cashing in. I was so looking forward to this but after seeing it up close and personal found it was of awful quality. It would have been nice to have something a bit more solid even if it had been plastic ( black with gold trim as in the kits that used to be sold) would have gone down far better.

    It was only 14.99

I would of paid more for like you say a better quality package.

I have actually ranted long and hard about this on another forum. A few of us on the Anchor Bay Forum suspected that this box would be flimsy and a waste of money. Marc Morris assured us that this would not be the case.

At £30 (I bought it on release day) I rest my case.

Last time I ever buy an Anchor Bay product.

A lot of the early boxsets came with either cracked or loose discs. I got mine on day of release and opted for the digipack version.

Personally I've kept my old tin set of films 1 and 2 and just added hell on earth to it.

After having listened to the DTS soundtrack on hell on earth it doesn't sound half as good as the 5.1 mixes from the older tin set. Are others finding this the case , if so I'm wondering why a newer film sounds worse ?

I also have the R1 Anchor Bay tin set. I decided on the digipack as I wanted the bonus disc.

i went for the Lament Configuration version and i'm pleased with it, although i will admit it's not all that well made. I threw away the polystyrene inside it, and now it doesnt hold it's shape completely, and the image on the lid doesnt line up with the image on the box. Still i much prefer having this one, it's another focal point along with my R1 Nightmare on Elm Street Collection, Evil Dead Book Of The Dead, and my T2 & I Robot tins.
