Today i got my new trolley customized according to my needs. checked the power cables aand all and just installed my subwoofer. Take a look:

My setup is Fronts are 205 Kef
    Center is 202c
    Rear are XQ5
    Woofer is Rel 505

    powered by :

    Arcam AV8 Processor
Arcam FMJ P1 X 3 for fronts and Center
And ARcam FMJ P35X 1 for Rears

    Dvd is Marantz 9500.

Here are a couple of things u guys can help me with apart from your comments for my system:

    1. Comments on the system
    2. In my AV8 processor i have mentioned the following settings. Fronts as small center as small rears as small. Subwoofer as present and set to 80 cross frequency. is that ok ?

    3. On the subwoofer there is a knob for freqency which goes from 25-100. thats on 12 o clock i think that will work as 80 since its in the processor but i am not sure ?
    4. For my woofer lv i have chosen to keep it at around 68-70 volume is that ok or is it too hi? there is a volume knob in the woofer . my vendor said that he keeps in on 50 as default but its up to me so is 70-68 ok ?

    5. Lastly i have mentioned the distance for my fronts and subwoofer . all are at 22 Feet distance . so 22Feet for all from my listening position. As for my rears they are just 1 feet or 0.5 feet away. so mentioned that. is that ok ?

Thanks for reading hope u give some good comments in numeric order.:)

Floor is nice but I dont know if it will help with the quality of the sound. I would be tempted to get a thicker rug for the middle of your room.:hiya:

It looks like you have some sort of furniture that is going to be blocking the path of the sound from the front to the listening position. Not very clear on the 2nd pic.. and those pics on the wall I take it are you and the missus?

As u all know that My Kef 205 are powered my Arcam p1 monoblocks which give a power rating of 170. Kef 205 are triwirable and triampable. Now since i have a p35 with me also which is able to give 100 watts per channel to 2 speakers seperately. I was thinking what will happen if i can connect that p35 which is currenly powering my xq5 rears to my Kef 205 bi amping the kef205. how much power will then the Kef 205 be running at and how much quality difference will there be.

I think rather than buying a 300 watts mono amp for the kef205 if i can get them the same power through bi amping then it will be a lot cheaper then a stand alone 300 watts amp.

I'd leave the sub freq at 100%, and set the amp to 80Hz.

I've mission pair of 775e front, pair of 773e surround and pair of 773e centre rears, 77c1 centre, velodyne cht-10.....all speakers set to small.

Bass should transition between mains and sub seamlessly, I've a test disc somewhere...it does a freq sweep tone.

Before we moved, I had rear floorstanders either side of setee, sounded OK, but better when I turned them in, so they went up on the walls pointing towards listening position... (no floorspace then)

    :hiya:
