Only problem i have ever had with R3 is with Bullet Proof Monk, as the PQ was terrible (film was not that much better anyway)

But My Bad Boys 2, T3 and xxx were all spot on.

the subtitling issues, I think, only cropped up with Kill Bill!

So will I be able to remove the subtitles from the film?

Didn't Lost in Translation have problems with subtitles?

I've had lots of R3s, and never had a subs issue (apart from the infamous Kill Bill R3), but maybe I've been lucky. Sorry, that doesn't really answer your question, but I would guess the subs would be removable.

From my experience Columbia Tristar R1 and R3 release are identical (except for different subtitle languages). The Glory 2 disc SE is even encoded for both R1 and R3! So seeing as both versions will be NTSC, then this is a no brainer, go with the R3  !!!

Does anyone know if there is an R3 release of Big Fish on the cards?

Expect Hellboy Superbit as well as the Hellboy 3 disc, they have already announced a Hellboy sequel and filming begins next year.

Well, I've ordered my 2 disc R3 from CD Wow. At £9.49 [IMG] it's not that much dearer than renting it, while waiting for the 3 discer to come out.

Bit of a result here. Just had an e-mail from CD Wow, saying that the price of Hellboy R3 has been reduced, and they sent me a £1 voucher. What makes this even better is that I already saved £1.50 on it through one of the special links (which have now stopped working), so it's now only cost me £8.49! :D :D You really can't beat CD Wow!! :smashin:

I think you'll find it's (v.f), which means it's French language packaging. Shame you didn't come here first. CD Wow are doing the R3 for £9.99, which is identical to the R1, as far as we know.

OK. I think I must have missed the boat on this link!

Can someone please explain how they are managing to get titles a lot cheaper than advertised?

There used to be 'special' links to CD Wow, which could be found on the Internet (try Google, or moneysavingexpert.com), which gave a discount on all products on the site, but they no longer work, as of a couple of weeks ago. Those here who got Hellboy cheap, just got in, before CD Wow stopped the discount links. Those who got Hellboy even cheaper, also used vouchers, which CD Wow give out from time to time. So, to answer your question, yes, you've missed the boat! :D
