im after some opinions on a small issue with this item on arrival and wether this is common fault on these replica guns.the wind up handle for the music player just turns but doesnt wind up the mechanism due to the hole where the spindle goes into the handle being worn, also a tiny 1cm by 1cm piece of resin has come detached, the piece has broken off from inside the gun so you wouldnt notice,it is by the locking mechanism for the barrel so you only see it when you cock the gun to place the bullets but even then it would be pretty unnoticed unless actually pointed out.im quite fussy especially when stuff costs £329 but at this price i dont really want to return it as they are sold out at play.com so a refund is what i would get!can anyone offer a solution on what materials i can use to affix the handle and the small what feels like resin/fibreglass material.any help would be appreciated and if anyone knows of any professional bodies that fix this type of stuff would be appreciated also.cheers jas

I would contact play and advise them, they will offer you a refund but if you tell them that this is now a sold out item everywhere they usually offer some money back. Usually 10%, I bought the hot toy tumbler from them and that arrived with marks on the top from the packaging (this was a common problem), they offered me a refund, then 10% off if I kept it.

Worth a try if you intend to keep it and replair!!

Cheers

Some super glue should fix the spindle if you can get some in there.

I know what you mean about the piece missing inside I had the exact same problem, it must be a design fault. Personally I left mine, as it will never be seen even, as you say, when you open it. But if you do want to fix it try using some milliput, i've used it for statue repairs in the past.

hi,cheers for the heads up about the 10% from play as im on the phone as i write and will let you know how it goes, thanks!also cheers for the miliputt info as not heard of it but sounds just the job,i can get some glue into the hole to affix to spindle so il get on that right away.im happy as hell with the sideshow piece but a little shocked that the wind up handle basically fell off as normally their stuff is quality, but what quality control did this go through.will have to keep my eye on future sideshow purchases although this is the first time i have had an issue even though it is a relatively small one:thumbsup:thanks again:clap:
