I have read numerous postings on Usenet regarding the joys and horrors (depending on your view), of instrument placing on the DTS track of the Eagles' Hell Freezes Over DVD, but cannot find any mention of the thing that bothers me most. - Why is the bass (guitar, kick drum) routed to the centre speaker only ?

I have tried my R1 DVD on two systems and get the same result. Is this a "feature" of the DTS mix ?

Neither system includes a Sub, (awaiting delivery), so maybe this would make a difference.

I have tried all the posible settings on my Denon 2800 but cannot get the bass to the main front speakers (Mission 773e). with this DVD.

I do not have this problem with the Steely Dan 2aN DTS/DD 5.1 mix.

    Any comments/suggestions appreciated.

Well i am not a big eagles fan and only own this Disc cos it sounds so good.

I can not tell any wrongs when listening as to the placements of the sounds, the drums seem to come from the front and the sub
