Height speaker placement: IIz vs. DSX

I've just ordered a Denon AVR-4310 to replace my aging AVC-A1D, and I was wondering if anyone out there has any thoughts on the height speaker placement. Looking on-line, Dolby Pro Logic IIz wants the height speakers immediately above the main L-R speakers (though I can't find any info on elevation for these), whereas Audyssey DSX wants the height speakers about 15 degrees out from the L-R at an elevation of 45%.

Obviously I only want to drill holes in the wall once for the brackets (holding B&W M-1s), so I was wondering whether anyone's had the patience to try both set ups and see if one is better than the other.
