It's certainly one of the PS3's biggest upcoming titles and has had a lot of positive feedback. I must say when I played it about a year ago I was very impressed by it and it is one of the games I bought my PS3 for. Unless it gets bad reviews across the board, something I highly doubt, I will definitely be buying it.

I think its going to be one of those AAA titles that X360 fanboys say dont exist.

    Let's just hope it's not a derivative hack'n'slash!

I've not seen much of this game, but what I have seen of it, it does indeed look like a hack'n'slash... is there something I've missed?

Well I mentioned how good Lair looked there was loads of posts saying how it doesnt compare to the X360 exclusives and the PS3 has no AAA titles. I was just saying there are AAA titles on PS3 even if the X360 owners say there are none.

Looks good - I wonder how the engine will handle so many characters on screen at once...

As soon as I played this game at E3 last year I knew it was going to be the main reason for me to get a PS3. From what's been shown since it looks amazing and if it's an indication of the final product it's going to be a fantastic game.

This could easily be the first proper killer PS3 game

Yep this is why they need a price drop now, so stuff like this sells as much as it should do.

I saw a whole epidsode of 'gamer tv' dedicated to this game on bravo again tonight at 5:30 . I must say the game looks fantastic but for me it just looks a bit much of a devil may cry game, which its a bit repetitive.

I dunno, it looks very very pretty!

However, some of the articles I have read (magazines in Smitty's) have said that the combat system is a little floaty. There was quite a bit of criticism, that the controls don't feel very tight (unlike God of War/Ninja Gaiden, where you know that any mistake is really your fault).

It would be a real shame if they deliver this game and the controls are off, hopefully the magazines would have looked at a version of the game a couple of months old already, so it maybe some of the comments are taken on board.

Still at least it will settle any arguments about power of the PS3 and it's graphical ability! :p

Agreed. I do like the extra touches such as being able to guide the cannonballs/arrows using the six axis to find their target but how long will the novelty wear off? May lack substance but time will tell.

Yes and you have to to be really careful with motion sensing, for an action game like this, the possibility I wave my hands around is quite high :) Would be annoying if you move your hand too much and you suddenly do something stupid and jump into a big pit or something.

According to that articled the US may be getting it before the EU. If the EU is getting it next week then hopefully the US store will have it this week.

I really do like the visual look of this game. The facial animation is superb and so it should be coming from the motion capture company that worked on Lord of the Rings. But the look of the game is very aesthetically pleasing and the story may be a bit more interesting then your average game.
As for the gameplay, it's not going to appeal to everyone. There's nothing wrong in admitting that. But it doesn't make Heavenly Sword a bad game. Personally I've always liked these type of adventure/beat 'em up games. But I haven't played any as polished as this. Definately eager to get hold of the demo.

I think the game looks like a "goddess of war" - which is no bad thing!

This game certainly looks pretty but I will be truly astonished if it plays half as well as God of War (the first and second games are the pinnacle of the genre in my opinion) - something about the combat just doesn't look 'right'. I hope to be proven wrong though as this game could have fantastic potential.
