So I woke up this morning went in the lounge and the place is like a sauna!

Thermostat is set to off position, the boiler also set to off on the heating section

Anyone got any ideas? I've turned the boiler off at the wall as the radiator seemed to be getting hotter.

Have you got a combi? If so have you been running hot water?

Perhaps the divertor valve is stuck or the motor is not working anymore. The heat might going into the heating rather than all into the water.

Yeah combi boiler , only use hot water tap as and when needed.

The boiler has been flareing up every hour or so as if to boil water for the last few weeks mostly at night
