Any one else had to simply give up watching HC in this heat? What with the blow heater that is a digital projector, plus amp, dvd etc all in a room with these tempratures to start with, it's just impossible! Oh well, I needed to get out more anyway... Next on the budget: 1 AC unit...
Hell yeah, Roll on winter. Heat the house with the projector and PC. Nights get darker earlier. No stinking insects. Haven't had the pj on for over a week
Had a work buddy over last night. First demo of the cinema room and we went for the classic Apocolypse Now - redux as we both love it. Dont know who was sweating more - us, Martin Sheen or Marlon Brando. Just a shame we couldnt fit a surf in.... Cap
It's worse for me - despite the insulation, my loft gets pretty hot with the sun on it - about 3degrees hotter than the landing. Gary.
I can vouch for that!! And that was BEFORE the heatwave. But if I had your set up Gary, I'd learn to rough it... BTW, mines all in now, new sub and everything. When do you fancy coming round and having a look...?
Yep, my atiic HC gets pretty hot! I try to watch films late at night when it gets cooler and everyone else has gone to bed (got some sony 5.1 headhpones). The only problem is its so warm I keep falling asleep - I wake up with a dry mouth and hot air blowing in my face from the PJ!!!
Army bloke - you'll be getting a pm. Normaly when it's warm in the loft, I have a fan running. Although I've been up there recently, it's too hot to watch anything for a long period of time, but openeing the window brings in some nice cool(er) air. I might get one of those evaporative coolers (no plumbing) which work reasonably well. I just may have to replace the fan with a huge Papst. Gary.
Yes, I agree that the weather is far too hot to use my projector, I have been using my air conditioner, but its so noisy its pointless watching films with it on.
Yep, too hot, but still managed to get 4 movies in over the weekend! Its at least helping me lose a few pounds!!
I managaed to watch Scarface this morning, by starting early (well, for a Sunday - 11), before things heated up too much....
