Hi, my copy came on Saturday and I finally got the chance to start a game last night.
I think it's superb, with a much better interface IMO. The way that you have separate screens for research, production, map & diplomacy is much better, clearer & easy to use. I particularly like the research bit where you asign a group of scientists to research a broader subject (like light tanks) instead of all it's component parts (like 20mm guns, light armour etc).
The map & unit movement is virtually unchanged apart from the "movement is attack" thing, which I like as it means that front line forces can engage straight away and then be properly supported by reserve forces as in real life.
I've only really started getting my teeth into this game but so far i'm very impressed - it's taken everything that was great about Hearts of Iron and improved most of the areas that needed improving - A top effort by Paradox! Oh and the manual is actually decent this time as well, as are the tutorials (especially for beginners!)
