...which is now OOP BTW...there's 3 more legacy's heading our way on 26th October...
    Creature From The Black Lagoon
    The Invisible Man
    The Mummy

I can't find any info just yet whether these are available in a boxset similar to the amazing Frankenstein, Wolfman & Dracula version...but here's hoping. Even if they are not, I'll still be getting these babies...

I picked this up in San Francisco back in May (I deliberately timed my trip so I would be in the States to get the box set with the busts as I knew it would cost a fortune to ship from US to UK).

I'm hoping they will do another gift set - with 3 more mini-busts - when this is released in October. I'll make another trip to the States around that time to make sure I get one! :D

Let's hope they take a bit more care packaging the discs than last time. The 'net was full of complaints about scratched discs. I had to hobble together one good set from two seperate boxes.

Hope the format is as before with the busts and stuff!

I had to do the same...amke one good set from 2. Though I only paid for one...DVDSoon replaced it as 2 of the discs had come of the spools during transit and were trashed. And a third disc became unwatcheable (Dracula's daughter) after chapter 16...this wasn't due to it being trashed in transit, but down to sloppy encoding. Still, I've watched my box set at least twice all the way through and I don't think I'll ever get bored of it...
Mine cost me £33 including shipping...and no import duty..from www.dvdsoon.com

How did you avoid import duty if it cost £33? Just lucky?

DVDSoon had marked the price as $12 can....so when it did get checked, it was under the limit of £18.

Did the same for me. The good old days before customs cottoned on and warned them to stop... :(

Lasers Edge did the same for me, that's how I got my set.

I saw one of Mummy DVD sets on pre-order somewhere and figured they must be doing another trio. Oh man, more cash goes flying out of my pocket. (and I haven't watched all of the first set yet)

I ordered two sets from amazon, one for me and the second for a friend. The first set wasn't picked up by customs, but unfortunately the second package wasn't so lucky. It's really a bit of a lottery whether you slip throuh customs or not.

Lets hope the new collections are presented by Universal in a similar box set to that of the first set. I just love those statues!

I have ordered the westerns set & the monster set from crazy ape through e-bay & have paid about £35 not bad for 100 movies direct from the states
they had dispached them before the weekend I'll let you know how i get on but if you search e bay you will find some people are bidding way over the odds for these sets not knowing they are very cheap if you know where to look!!!!
I already had the sci fi set I won on Ebay for £15 the box had been damaged (I was told it was before i bid) if I had known I could have got them brand new for approx £18 I would have got a new set :lesson:

Have you guys seen the Region 2 version? Just a mere £129.99

Seems to have an extra DVD as well as FRANKENSTEIN, WOLF MAN & DRACULA:

    MONSTER BOX

    Disc 1. The Mummy (1932)
    Disc 2. Invisible Man
Disc 3. Phantom of the Opera
Disc 4. Creature From the Black Lagoon

    No mention of any busts...

Considering they've just released 6 of those movies on R2, on 3 double disc sets at £20 (each), - 2 Dracula, 2 Frankenstein, 2 Wolfman - I'm sure the news of this set will manage to p**s off many people who've purchased them.

The other four movies have already been released on R2, but notice that they only give one movie each of The Creature, The Mummy and The Invisible Man. What's the betting that in a few month's time there's another box set duplicating the second R1 collection?
