This is an extremely violent movie from the same writer/producer as Swordfish
(This movie should not be watched by those easily offended, it's extreme)
OOP almost everywhere, so get your VHS/Sky+ programmed!

On Channel 4 very very late Friday (actually 2:20 am Saturday morning)

Never heard of it but I will be watching.
Damn fine looking lead actress and was I surprised when I saw it was the woman who was in Her Alibi (with Tom Selleck), very tasty (Paulina not Tom:) ).

    Yes I saw that.
And how long is it. Start/end = 1 hr 25m without allowing for breaks. This could mean about an hour or so.
Was it longer than this originally or has it had the good bits cut?

    Hi,

I highly doubt the film will be completely uncut. I suspect that this is going to be an edited print, from a US distributor or a pre-cut BBFC approved version. Either way, there's no way that C4 can air an 85 minute movie in an 85 minute slot, and still include ad-breaks - which they will undoubtedly do.

The BBFC do list two versions of the movie, one 84mins and the other a little over 87mins so as Pooch says a precut version would exist.

However it is not the unusual for very late night TV to be devoid of adverts to exploit the loophole in the regulations, very common on multichannel TV.

The BBFC list a film running at 24 fps. The Video entry will run at 25 fps and will lose 4% of it's running time due to PAL speedup. Hence the different running times. Both are likely to be the same cut (film x 0.96 = PAL Video)

I have the PAL R2 directors cut DVD and it's listed at 84 mins, but has an actual running time of 83 mins 11 seconds.

To fit the C4 time slot, I suspect at least 5 mins will be cut, no way will this be shown uncut.
(or more likely is they use the US Theatrical cut that has a running time of 79 mins)

Saw this uncut a few years back on a swedish satellite channel ( D2- Mac ) good movie and graphic but not overly graphic more in a black comedy type of way.

    Paulina is very nice :)

Cool, set the Sky plus, thanks for the heads up. Surely it can't be another good Thomas Jane film (after Stander  ) i'm becoming quite a fan! :)

Recorded this last night and after a quick flick through it seems only one ad break for 1m 29s making the total running time just under 1h 24m - I look forward to watching this later.

Just wanted to thank you for the "heads up". If it hadn't been for this thread I'd not have even considered recording this film. But I did, I watched it, and I enjoyed it. Well directed, some nicely filmed scenes in there. :)
