Im looking at getting some decent headphones for gaming at home and at LAN's.

Currently Im looking at either something from Sennheiser, such as the PC 130/135USB or PC150/155USB, or the Beyerdynamic DT 234 Pro.

    Can anyone recommend anything else?

On another note, does anyone know if the DT234's have an inline volume control?

Nothing much else that's decent at that price level. The PC155 is fairly hassle-less but the Beyers are better phones. The Beyers do not have an inline volume control.

Its a shame the Beyers dont have an inline volume control, I may end up getting some Sennheiser then.

Maybe you could try one of those Medusa "5.1" setups? Hardly hi-fi, but you do get some semblance of surround sound, and a built-in microphone.
