Headphones and Microphone / cable

Hello everyone, I have headphones that I use for listening to music, with which I feel good, but I will soon buy a better one.
However, I need to use them, for other situations, even with an abinate microphone. I had adopted a clip-on microphone, connected to the sound card and placed by clip on the headphone cable, with a poor result in terms of quality and practicality being necessary to place them from time to time and having this cable more a bit uncomfortable.

My doubt concerns the use of a better microphone but that optimizes its position and comfort and I saw the B-MODA Boompro:

- to use such a microphone, which connects on one side to the headphones and on the other through the two jacks to the sound card, alters the sound of good quality headphones or is it as if you are using the original headphone cable? (and so you appreciate only the convenience) (I ask because I do not know if it is a different or poor cable or involves interference etc.)
