    HI!

I'd like to buy a dedicated headphone amplifier with LEFT/RIGHT volume control and of course the main volume control. The price range $100- $200. I will use it with the Sennheiser hd-580, hd-590 or hd-595 just for listening to the music and watching movies. I'd like to hook it up to a dvd/cd player, e.g. Pioneer DV-578A-S, Sony DVP-NS775V or DVP-NS975, or Panasonic DVD-S97S. I am not interested in a porable or ipod style amp. I have no idea what is available.

    Thanks,
    Adam

Thanks for your reply, but I think that the "ipod" site has only ipod style amps in which I am not interested. :rotfl:

I'd look again if I were you there are many quality hi-fi amps there as well. The Ipod ones are probably in the minority. Ipodstudio is even advertising Larrocco a,ps at around $3000 plus so it a bit of an overkill for an Ipod.

I think you'll find far more if you simply look at the site, esp in the headphone amps section.

You may also find www.head-fi.org to be quite useful for US based members.

In the price range you've quoted, you'll be lucky to find one with a L/R volume control,as it usually adds a little to the price, and is something which budget manufacturers tend to avoid.

LOL! Adam, there is virtually every headphone amp in existence in those galleries...about 1300 headphone amp images in all... :D

Here's the all the headphone amp galleries

head-fi is a good place to look, too, as Alex said.

Pleasure! If you find an amp you like the look of, come back and ask about it. :smashin:
