I bought a TV today and found the headphone socket on th back and once it's wall mounted it will be difficult to get to.

Is there anything I can do to extend the socket and still be able to use the TV speakers as well ?

    Please

You can use a headphone extension cable like this (shorter ones and ones with right-angled plugs will also be available) but I don't know what effect plugging it in to your TV's headphone socket will have on the speakers.

On some TV's the two volumes can be controlled independently, but it's also possible that plugging headphones in might disable the TV's speakers so you need to check this out first.
