Headphone Search - £100ish - DT770 Pro's?

I am looking into buying a nice pair of great quality headphones to wear generally and on long train journeys for instance.

I have been looking at the Beyerdynamic 770 Pro's, and have seen many outstanding reviews of them.

Now, these are about £130 right now, which is a lot to pay for a pair of headphones for me.

So I was wondering, are there any similar headphones that offer the same/very close to the same sound quality and comfort that these offer, at maybe a cheaper price?

Basically, looking for the best value for money while keeping the quality at the 770 standard.

Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

The Beyers are worth the money, they are made to last & use a little less plastic than other makes, there may well be others that sound similar to the 770's but the Beyers are headphones that can be with you for a LONG time!, they use velour for the earpads which lasts & lasts where as some of the other cheaper makes use pleather which trust me WILL perish, £130 may push your budget a little more than you would have liked but put it this way, when the credit card has been payed & its all forgotten about you dont want to be left with cheap headphones that are getting on your nerves with poor sound quality &/or build, choose wisely & you wont have to purchase another pair ;) .
