    Hello,

I have a set of Sennheiser Momentums and I am looking for a portable amplifier that will run off of batteries so I can take it with me to university and use it on commutes to and from university and home.

    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you.

I have seen that one online it did look nice. I suppose I'll have to either buy it or put my faith in a shop somewhere as you're my only reply bit annoying actually.

    Thanks again.

FiiOs are good portable amp. I'm using E11 for my M50 and it adds more depth. Long lasting battery(around 13hrs+ continuos via single USB charge).

With an 18 ohm impedance, I'd have thought the Sennheiser Momentum headphones wouldn't really need a headphone amp for portable usage.

I've just got a Fiio E7 to drive my new Momentums. Managed to pick up an ex-display one on Amazon for £40!
You can run the Momentums straight off an iPod or iPhone, but you won't be doing them justice. A relatively inexpensive portable amp will make a real difference to the sound you get out of them.

That's what I thought to be honest my phone (S3) seems to drive them very well but I know that an amp will increase this performance and it would also improve output from my PC.

    Thank you

A fii0 e5 will do the job very well fantastic little cheap amp good enough to drive anything under about 250ohm I'd say.

I have a fiio e6 connected to my Galaxy s2 using goldring ns1000 headphones and for the money they sound really good.
The e6 seems to be able to keep the music more under control it's tighter the bass and treble stronger.

Would the fiio e6 work on a samsung tablet? Is it just a case of connecting via 3.5mm headphone socket then headphones into the fiio?I also have some momentums but when using on my tab for movies volume isnt very high even maximum.

My FiiO E11 and B&W P5's sound sweet together plus a spare battery for long-haul flights helps too
