Hi,
I have a Schiit Valhalla 2 which comes with 2 x 6N6P and 2 x 6N1P.
I have heard from a friend that says that they are not ideal for lows and when listening to Rock / Metal. So I have had a look around and I have 3 questions.
1) The manual states:
2) Would the type of music make a difference, Would I find that there are better quality tubes out there for rock and metal (which is 90% my listening)?
3) Is there a good store you can get these from? I see most pairs are fairly substation in price (£70 a pair), so it does worry me that Schiit sell the whole set for £25
Additionally if anyone has any suggestions what I can roll these tubes with to make my sound better for me. I am using DT 990 Edition 600 Ohm (no Hi Gain).
Many Thanks

But states nothing about the 6N6P, I have seen many formats of tube, some beginning with 5 or 7 for example, would they not work? I really cant find a good source to understand what tubes would be compatible with both.you may also “roll” the 6N1Ps for 6DJ8, 6BZ7, 6922, ECC88, or similar tubes
