    Hi all
When HDTV is established will manufactures be making screens with 1080 lines instead of the current HD screens with 1024 to avoid scaling?
Or will there main intended use still be as monitors & will therefore stick with 1024?
    Cheers, Paul

    Hello paden

I think it will be a long time before we see 1080P broadcasts - we already receive 1080i from HD1; though 720P looks more likely as the 'preferred standard, (notice Euro1080 has become HD1).

The demands on the broadcast network at 720P look to be a lot less expensive.

I'm pretty sure that once we get to ninth generation glass (were just seeing seventh generation now) we'll se higher pixel counts than the current crop of Display's (though at a cost premium).

    Best regards

    Joe
