HDTV card is cutting my picture

I have a Panasonic 42TX plasma, and a HTPC with a MSI NX7300GX graphics card. The card has an HDTV output.

Ive connected my HTPC through HDTV to my TV, now the problem is I get 1:1 pixle mapping which is great but the Nvidia software seems to be automatically scaling my desktop to fit the 42". This results in me losing a few pixels all around the edge of my TV. EG I can only see half of the start menu in windows xp.

Anyone now how I can fix this cutting of my desktop. My TV handles a native resolution of 1024 X 768 which is the res im running at. any ideas, im pulling my hair out!

thanks
