I’ve been messing around with my hdr tv for a while now to try and get the most optimal picture for this tv. can’t find any decent calibration on the web for it since there’s only review that don’t go much in to detail but I think the tv is just under 400 nits for hdr which ain’t to bad.

I’ve took a few shots to see what you guys think looks the best. I have gamma on 0 with brightness at 50 in the first picture and in the second picture I dropped the gamma to -1 and brightness at 47.

Any help would be much appreciated, I’m trying to get the most life like picture for hdr out of this panel.

Have you thought about getting it professionally calibrated.

nah, I wouldn’t really want to pay the money for that type of thing.

Usually rtings offer good calibrations but can’t seem to find this tv on their site. They do have the x720e but its ips where as this is VA and according to rtings the uk version is using a different VA panel compared to the US model.

It was a bit of a cluster fudge this year for tvs since it was hard to get a VA panel at a decent price. Can see me upgrading next year lol.
