Can anyone confirm that when a DVD Player, Sat Box, etc is connected via a single HDMI Lead that stereo sound is also piped through with the picture? Do you have to set it to 2.1 in the menu or does 5.1 work as well?

    Cheers!

HDMI v1.1 does carry audio in 5.1. There was trouble with HDMI v1.0 but can't rememeber if it was only sending stereo or sound at all. All HDMI conenctions should be HDMI 1.1 nowadays.
