HDMI to HDMI and RCA or S Video

Standard Member
Hi guys,

I connect my PS3 to my TV with a HDMI cable. However I want to be able to record it and play at the same time.

I have a capture card with an RCA and S video input so are there any cables that have HDMI and RCA or S Video connectors so I can connect to my TV with HDMI and my PC with RCA or S Video at the same time?

Not really a simple one to fix with just a cable.

The signal that the PS3 is sending out over the HDMI can't be sent over S-Video .

You will find that there are some satellite/cable boxes that have HDMI/S-Video outputs where both are live at the same time but that is down to the electronics in the box and the PS3 doesn't do this.

Even if you put this through an AV amp you can't down convert an HDMI signal to S-Video.
