HDMI to DVI - 18pin or 24pin connector?

I want to buy a cable to connect the DVI output of my PC to the HDMI socket on my LG 32LX2R.

There seems to be both 18-pin and 24-pin DVI cables out there. Which should I buy?

AIUI 18 pin DVI connections are single link, and 24 pin are double link, which represents the full capacity for DVI (and HDMI for that matter).

However, all current AV kit only uses single link, which is good for 1200p60 video, so nothing to worry about there, then.

The answer is that it won't make any difference at all which one you use.
