Hi There,
We have recently moved into a new house and during the build, the electricians screwed up the HDMI cable and to fix it they will probably have to open up the walls, which they are trying to avoid. In order to avoid this, they installed a "HDMI to CAT5e/6 with LAN/IR/RS232" box, which connects our HDMI inputs (SkyTV and laptops etc) to the main tv. Apologies if this all sounds super vague as im not an expert here, but does this converter setup decrease the High Def feed? (i.e. direct HDMI to TV vs HDMI to CAT5 converter thing to tv... is there a difference in the quality of Video and audio definition?).
Any help is hugely appreciated and happy to give more detail if needed.
Cheers
