I read lots of posts on here bemoaning the fact that even when you do get a HDMI connector on an LCD there is only one of them, and shortly this will not be enough. The question I am going to ask now is one which I have no technical knowledge of so please bare with me. You see lots of scart switching boxes for sale these days for those who do not have enough scart sockets, would something similar to this not be possible with HDMI connectors thus solving the problem, or is it not technically possible?

They are available now, just a 'little' expensive.

Are they expensive because it's a relatively new technology, or is the expense due to the handling of High Definition Content Protection needed?
