Hi all,

My current LCD TV only has 1 HDMI connection, so I was thinking switcher or splitter. I've looked at Amazon & such places, they want £50 for the average piece of kit, I've found eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110166065940 this looks good ie cheap.

But would you recommend this using a switcher or splitter.......... I mean does it degrade the signal or anything like that?

Hello bubbles_100

If you have more Sources than Inputs on your Display you require a Switch.

If you want to Share your Sources with Two or More Displays you require a Splitter.

HDMI Switches now come in all shapes and sizes - most of them wont degrade the Video/Audio signal passing through the Switch but some of them will prove to be less compatible with a wide range of Source and Display kit.

Some Switches will prove to be compatible with pretty much every Source and Display you choose to connect via the Switch - see http://www.octavainc.com/
