You require an HDMI Switch not a Splitter - what was wrong with the unit you link to?

Which TV and Source devices are you using and is there an AV Amp in the mix?

Thanks for the reply, just asked him the question, reply was...

"The source devices are 2 4K Blu-Ray players To a 4K monitor.
The fault is that the switch changes the picture from 16:9 to 4:3 and does’nt display colours correctly. No other AV kit is being used"

Ideally provide make and model number of the Monitor and Source devices, confirm how audio is being played back and if he is trying anything 'non standard'.

Blu-Rays:- Panasonic DP-UB820, Sony UBP-X800M2.
Monitor :- Samsung U32J590UQU
Sony sound is via HDMI and Panasonic is via phono sockets - these are working ok Joe.

Assuming the Source devices work as required direct to the Monitor it sounds like the switch is not passing the correct EDID - not uncommon with low cost switch gear.

Look for a switch with EDID management.
