On my TV I have 2 HDMI sockets which are both in use, one by a 3D DVD Player and the other by our Sky HD box. My daughter recently wanted her XBox connecting to this TV also. At present, when she uses the XBox we are having to pull the HDMI cable out of the DVD player to plug into the XBox which is a pain.

I'm not too sure what I need to get round this. I've looked at various items, such as, a HDMI extension cable, extension box and a splitter? I'm totally confused! What I basically need is something that will give me another socket to plug into.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Splitter, or use the xbox for DVDs when not watching 3D?

Thanks for your reply vickster. A splitter it is then. To be honest with you it had never dawned on me to use the Xbox as a DVD player when watching non-3D DVDs. How thick am I? Thanks for the tip.
