    Hi

    I have a Sony 1200Es and have a question:

Am I ok with using just HDMI cables for video and audio between my DVD player, receiver and TV ( all have hdmi connections). The manual for the 1200ES has confused me as it mentions I need coaxial for audio?.... and the HDMI doesnt cater for that. Is that right?

You will need optical/coaxial from your sources if you want your amp to process the sound. If you do not all you will get is the audio passed thru to your TV.. no surround sound.
