HDMI Output Problems

Hi,

Apologies if this is completely the wrong forum for this, I'm a first-time poster and complete AV novice.

I have a old Sony KDL-40U3000 that I am trying to hook up to my iPad2 via HDMI cable, however when I do although I get a picture and sound, the image is heavily tinted pink. No amount of "fiddling" with the cables removes the tint, and I am using known-working HDMI cables (tried 2 of them) as they currently feed my cable TV service and PS3.

Does anyone have any "HDMI for Dummies" style advice they could use to help troubleshoot this?

Kind regards in advance.

Are you using the Apple HDMI adapter?

Check if the iPad is outputting RGB or YCbCr (Component) and ensure the HDMI Input on the TV is set to the same format!
