Hi am looking for something to use with my new TV to beef up the sound a bit. I was originally just looking for a soundbar to connect via ARC HDMI as I understood it was superior to an optical connection.
I was thinking of getting a Sony HT-NT5 and then I thought that the alternative would be a more musical orientated device such as a Naim Mu-so. However, whilst undoubtably having the edge for music, I would have to use the optical connection with the TV.
Would I be losing out from a sonic point of view with the optical connection? And if there is a difference, is it significant?
Any advice or opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks
